Professional Overnight Newborn & Infant Care
One thing any parent will tell you about is the sleep deprivation you face when you bring home a new baby. This Charleston-based Night Nanny service was created to help alleviate some of those sleepless nights. You will be able to rest without worry as Norma will provide all the care your infant needs including feedings, changing, comforting, and settling them back into sleep. This can be utilized by exclusively breastfeeding parents as well. For these sessions, Norma will arrive at your home between 8p-11p and stay for 8 or 10 hours overnight for up to 3 days and 30 hours a week, Mon-Thurs. For Lowcountry families blessed with multiples, there is a rate increase of $5/hour per child. Norma has been a night nanny for twins and siblings of close age range. Weekends (+$5/hour) and Holidays (+$10/hour) are available by request.
Carolina Catnap

Fight back against sleepless nights with 2 nights of guaranteed rest each week. You will have 16 hours of overnight infant care each week for a month. This is best for those families who are coping well and have strong support but need a little more rest.
Lowcountry Lullaby
96 hours $4,320
If your sleep bank is running low, this package provides a strong start with 24 hours of support for 2 weeks spread over 3 days. This helps to recharge your battery and restore your sleep bank a bit. Afterwards, you receive 3 additional weeks of twice weekly overnight infant care to help maintain this balance.
Sweetgrass Slumber
144 hours $6,480
Designed for those who need more intensive support, this package gives you a full 6 weeks of overnight infant care. You will receive 24 hours of care across 3 days each week. This will help you to maintain your sleep bank and stay relatively rested through some of the rougher parts of the infant stage.
Specialized Night Nanny Care $45+/hour
Charleston families with high needs or alternative scheduling can still receive overnight infant care services. For those booking less than 64 hours, the base rate is $50/hour. Beyond Earthside offers discounts at 150 hours.
Sleep Training for Charleston Families
Sleep training is the process of helping your baby become accustomed to extending sleeping periods on their own. It also helps them to learn how to self-soothe. Many parents of newborns find themselves counting down the days until they can count on reliably getting 6+ hours of sleep again. When beginning to think about sleep training, there are many things to consider including your child’s age, weight, feeding habits, and more. The whole process can be confusing and add even more stress to your already sleep deprived brain. In an attempt to address the concerns that Norma has repeatedly encountered with her doula clients, she has added these to the array of Beyond Earthside services for families in and around Charleston, SC.
Consultation $250
Together, Norma and your family will discuss some of the most popular sleep training options to help determine which ones are the best fit for your family. You will also receive a sleeping area evaluation and help in creating a routine for your baby. Throughout this consultation, you will receive some of the tips and tricks that Norma has picked up while providing various families with postpartum support and overnight infant care.

Overnight Sleep Training $2,900
Sleep training is one of the more difficult parts of the first year. Parents may feel they are doing something wrong or even guilty for starting the process. To help ease these feelings, Beyond Earthside provides a jumping off point for families. For 10 hours, 3 nights a week Norma will be your night nanny to help you begin this journey. She will be there for 3 nights in a row at the beginning of sleep training, as these are usually the most difficult nights. Then she will return for an additional 3 nights the following week at your discretion. Ideally, this will be utilizing the Ferber or Modified Ferber method, but other methods can be considered. Available for infants 4-12 months. This service includes a consultation.
